Chiayi County Nan-Sing Elementary School

History

1. Our school was founded in Aug. of 1949, called Sindian Class of Dong-Hua Public School.

2. Our school was renamed as Sindian Campus of Dong-Hua Public School in Aug. of 1950.

3. Our school was separated as Nan-Sing Public School in Aug. of 1952.

4. Our school was renamed as Nan-Sing Elementary School in Aug. of 1968.

5. Our school was consolidated with Dong-Hua Elementary School, called as Dong-Hua campus of Nan-Sing Elementary School in Aug. of 2006.

Location

Nan-Sing Elementary School is located in Sindian Village, Yijhu Township, Chiayi County. It’s a rural and remote school in a flat. Yijhu is about 5 km far away from here and Budai Port 4 km. There is no bus service so people always use car and motorcycle as their means of transportation.

Community within school district

There are four villages, Sindian, Beihua, Pingsi and Houjhen, within our school district. Most of the villagers are farmers. They live on aquaculture and agriculture.

1. Faculty: There are 27 members in our school, including our principal, 22 teachers, a registered nurse, an assistant and 1 school workers.

2. Classes: 12 classes in our primary school; 2 classes in our affiliated kindergarten.

3. Students: 75 students in our primary school; 18 students in our affiliated kindergarten.
